In the early months of 2010, Lifespan commissioned The Art of Life to paint a mural in the busy Rhode Island Hospital cafeteria. Gracing a large wall high above the diners, the 38' x 12' mural features a view of Colt State Park in Bristol, Rhode Island. The meticulously detailed Old Stone Bridge dominates the center of the mural, with the still waters of Mill Gut Pond on the right, and at the top is a dramatic skyscape featuring clouds breaking in the early morning light.  A woman is jogging in the foreground, behind her is an older man walking his Scottish Terrier, and on the far side of the Pond are two kayakers. It's a calm, quiet scene, almost meditative, and yet the size and scope and detail of the mural fills every viewer in the room with a sense of wonder.
