Peaceable Kingdom Painting by Charles C. Clear III

Commissioned by a couple in Upton, Massachusetts for the large wall in their high ceiling great room, this painting on hand stretched canvas measures 5' x 8' and was created in acrylic.

'Peaceable Kingdom' features 11 animals in a perfectly balanced composition, and is based on a passage from the Bible's book of Isaiah 11:6-7. I chose this subject matter as a way to reflect the couple's passion both for animal rights and their Christian faith.
