Featuring 11 animals in a perfectly balanced composition, this painting is based on a passage from the Bible's Book of Isaiah 11:6-7:

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox....."

This  acrylic painting on hand-stretched canvas measures 5' x 8' , and was commissioned by a couple in Upton, Massachusetts. After speaking with them, I chose this subject matter as a way to reflect the couple's passion both for animal rights and their Christian faith.
