Pediatric Waiting Room Mural

"The Enchanted Garden" is a 10' x 10' mural that features a wide variety of wild and domestic animals in a magical setting of peace and harmony. Located in the waiting room of the Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI, the mural was created in The Art of Life studio on heavyweight canvas and then installed on site.

When a mural is painted on canvas and then attached to the wall like wallpaper, this is a technique known as marouflaging. Maouflaging Murals is a great option for very busy Health Care environments. With installation taking only an hour or two, a remarkably detailed mural can appear in the blink of an eye - and will be virtually indistinguishable from a mural painted right on the wall.

'The above photo of 'The Enchanted Garden' was taken in the Spring of 2009, which is about 12 years after the mural was painted and installed. Despite the passage of time and the vast amount of activity that took place in this room, the mural is still in perfect condition.

The photo below is a close up of the bottom of the mural. This area would normally be obscured by chairs, and therefore visible only to the children. Like the rest of the mural, this area is packed with animals, birds, bees, and insects....

'The Enchanted Garden' was selected for the cover of Hasbro Children's Hospital's recent brochure. On the inside cover was another mural by The Art of Life, titled 'Wonder Train', which was painted a couple of years later for one of the Tomorrow Fund's treatment rooms.
