Completed in the summer of 2011, 'A Day At The Beach' is a 4' x 4' acrylivc painting on canvas. Commissioned by Hasbro Children's Hospital for a pediatric treatment room, the goal of this painting was to illustrate several 'Healthy Habits' for kids.  We chose to depict eating right, drinking plenty of water, wearing sun protection, and learning through play.  These habits  were nicely showcased in a brightly colored scene of a Mom and two kids building a sand castle on the Narragansett Town Beach. Note the basket with fruit and water, the sunblock on the sand, the hats and glasses, and the castle under construction. Behind them the surf is crashing, and overhead the pastel blue sky is filled with billowy white clouds - a charming scene!
